WHAT IS STICKBALL?
Stickball is baseball stripped down to its essentials—a stick, a rubber ball and whatever space you have.
Kansas City Stickball Association brings the classic street game to Kansas City through neighborhood clubs competing under one simple set of rules.
01-FOUR PLAYERS
Official KCSA matches are played 4-on-4.
02-THREE INNINGS
Fast games built to keep moving.
03-ONE BASE
Run from home to the single base and back again to score, as many times as you can before you stop or are tagged/pegged out.
04-PLAY ANYWHERE
Streets, courts, fields and any open spaces can become a stickball field.

HOW THE GAME WORKS
Simple enough to learn in minutes. Different enough to be its own game.
01-THE STICK
A broomstick-style bat. No barrel. All wood. Just put the ball in play.

02-THE BALL
The classic pink high-bounce rubber ball - the heart of street stickball.

No umpire needed. Hit the target and it’s a strike.
Hit any part of the target = strike.

Overhand. Sidearm. Underhand. Or bounce it.
One-bounce pitches are legal. Direct pitches cannot exceed 60 mph in KCSA play.
